Internacional Opera Awards


"Sonho de Uma Noite de Verão", de Britten é finalista do "Oscar da ópera"

Encenada no jardim do Parque Lage em maio de 2013, obra composta pelo inglês Benjamin Britten e dirigida por André Heller-Lopes contou em sua montagem com a OSB Ópera & Repertório sob a regência do maestro Roberto Tibiriçá. A cerimônia de entrega do prêmio será no dia 7 de abril em Londres.


INTERNATIONAL OPERA AWARDS NOMINATIONS REVEALED

On Wednesday 12 February 2014, in The Crush Room, Royal Opera House, finalists of the International Opera Awards 2014 were announced. These were selected by the jury, chaired by John Allison. The jury was made up of chief music critic for the The Sunday Times and regular Opera contributor Hugh Canning, George Loomis who covers opera and classical music for the International Herald Tribune, MusicalAmerica.com, The Financial Times and Opera magazine and classical music critic for The Observer, Fiona Maddocks. Jury members also include Sir Peter Jonas, the former Intendant of Bavarian State Opera, Elaine Padmore the Director of Opera at Covent Garden until 2011, and Nicholas Payne who is Director of Opera Europa. 

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday 7 April at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.
